Redundancy has become an all too familiar feature of the modern economic landscape. Unite has developed a redundancy protocol over several years in response to increased demands for redundancy support in its unionised workplaces
The Unite Wales Union Learning Fund (WULF) and
Learn with Unite work closely with the Welsh Government, Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) and Careers Wales to deliver employability skills and other support for members undergoing redundancy and seeking alternative employment.
What We Can Help With...
The Unite Wulf team have developed a wide range of courses to support you if you are facing redundancy, and ensure that you are work ready and at the front of the queue when employers are looking to fill vacancies.
Some of these courses are detailed here, and can be delivered remotely through virtual classroom to ensure you remain Covid safe when accessing this support.
Sessions can be delivered for groups in the workplace, or through open courses which we frequently run.

Our New Virtual Learning Environment
The wulflearn.cymru website is a ‘work in progress’ and is being jointly developed and managed by the Unite and NEU WULF projects.
Our current developments are focussed on creating online e-learning modules to help individuals with job search skills, from CV writing to interview skills. In addition to the modules themselves, we aim to offer individualised support and guidance to individuals as required and as our budgets permit.
Over time we hope to develop a host of online self-study modules on a variety of topic areas, which will be reviewed and updated annually to ensure that they are relevant to the Welsh workforce.
In our current pilot phase these e-courses are open to all regardless of union membership so please join us on our journey by piloting and reviewing our courses as we upload and publish them to our website.

The WULFLEARN Team
